2015 Fall Trends for Boys

Fall is in the air. That means you’re packing away the shorts, swimsuits and flip-flops, and planning an entirely new fall wardrobe for the kids. Picking a pint-sized, yet fashion-forward, set of outfits means looking to what’s trending in the kids’ clothing world. So, what’s on tap for autumn 2015? Check out these fall trends for boys in ’15!

Neutrals

Kenzo

A neutral palette is on top for many of the men’s AW15 lines. Why not translate the not-so-bold trend to a child-friendly version? Kenzo’s fall choices sport plenty of soft greys – which are perfect if you’re looking to create that neutral look in your little guy’s autumn wardrobe. Pair the softly spoken tops and sweaters with equally neutral pants. Think pale grey long-sleeved t’s (with or without patterns or designs) with like-hued cords or jeans. Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Junior Gaultier line goes grey with coordinating tracksuits and hooded tops.

Greys aren’t the only neutrals that are popping up this autumn! Tans, beiges and even pastels are all fit for fall. Keep it monochromatic and go with one color. Put together a wardrobe for your kiddo that lets him mix and match different light-colored items. For example, soft sage sweatpants with a lighter green sweater.

Plaids and Prints

When doesn’t plaid say, “Fall!”? Burberry’s 2015 autumn children’s line features plenty of plaid for boys. Their check cotton shirts are light-weight enough to wear in the sometimes warm autumn weather (in other words, no thick clunky flannels here), but will still keep your little one’s arms out of that early morning chill.

Instead of going print-happy, balance out your son’s look with a plain pair of pants. You could go with the basic denim look, or add some interest with a pair of deep black jeans. The dark denim look offsets the bold print on top and gives your tot a spot of style!

If plaids and prints on shirts and sweaters aren’t enough for your child’s autumn outfits, Dolce & Gabbana is showing sweet plaid shorts and blazers for boys. While pairing the two together is pattern overload, adding each to a basic navy blue is a score for the fall wardrobe.

Drawn Designs

Doodling isn’t just for your child’s sketchbook. Some of the autumn 2015 fashion trends feature cute cartoonish designs – minus the cheesy look that ‘character clothing’ can have. Kenzo’s muted palette also features the trademark tiger, while Dolce & Gabbana goes bold with knights and regal accents!

Paul Smith is showing long-sleeved t’s with everything from animals and dinos to trucks and Burberry has bold line-drawn designs. Going with a doodle-like design makes a statement without adding a busy bottom. Keep your kid cozy this fall by putting the t together with fleece sweat pants in a deep shade such as navy, maroon or hunter green.

Sweater Weather

Let’s not forget the best part of fall dress – sweaters! It’s finally time to bundle your child up, keeping him snug as a bug in a stylish little sweater. Like t’s and sweatshirts or track hoodies, fall 2015 seaters are also coming in patterns and designs. Ditch the dull tops and try something with more sport. Dolce & Gabbana’s patterned sweater vests are all fall and a perfect switch up for the new season. What are some other awesome autumn options? Go simple with colorful stripes or try a basic block-like design that features different shades in the same color family (such as blue hues).
